New Web Design – Conception Abbey

This new web design truly makes us proud. It was long hours, with true effort and emphasis on user experience. The request was simple enough. KC Web Specialists were to rebuild the entire website from designs the client played around with our account specialists. There were navigation concepts we had never implemented before, so we took that as our next big challenge.

How to get one of those drop-down mega menus. Plus responsive, of course. Plus it had to be integrated seamlessly with WordPress. Our web developer enjoyed the assignment, learning new web tactics along the way. The result was outstanding. You can see that some of the sub pages have a second menu that shoes links, photos, and even videos. The options were endless.

Conception Abbey has social media. Social Media is for everyone. Each of their child pages had different locations, and in turn, different social media accounts. The correct social media paths had to go to the correct page. It was crucial that we found a dynamic approach to the custom pages the client was asking for.

Conception Abbey is made up of four main parts:

1. Monastery
2. Seminary
3. Guest House
4. Printery House

Each part has it’s own feel. We choose to take color combinations from the brand, and use them as our basis for section separation. You’ll notice the dark to light blue grids which change based on the width of the device. The responsive web design was tested thoroughly by our development team to ensure that Conception Abbey was easily showcased to the world, in no matter what medium.

Everyone on the team at KC Web Specialists is skilled, caring, responsive and responsible. They did an awesome job creating our website (gcath.org) and answered probably 1,000 questions we had. KC Web Specialists have it together. Period. I am President of a Kansas non-profit and we recently had their team work with us to create a new website. Every step of the process was a positive experience. Everyone was timely, professional, and thoroughly skilled at what they do.
