Take A Look At Your Website Footer. Does It Say (C) 2018?

So when was the last time you looked at the very bottom of your Website?  Does it look something like this?

You might be surprised how many people actually look at the year 2018 at the bottom of your Web site when making a company purchase decision. If they don’t look at the year at the bottom, they certainly are looking at other dates within your Website content.

I know that when I’m looking at different companies for something that I need, and I’m kind of on the fence about whether to use that company or not. One thing in general that I might look at is how current is their Website content?

I look at:

  • The dates on blog posts, if any.
  • Coupon expiration dates.
  • Recent project work dates.
  • Is there any indication of new content on the Website?

If I don’t see new content, than I probably look a the footer. If I see content dates of like 2008, or several years old, it gets me thinking that maybe this company may not be in business anymore, or they don’t have good new stuff or service offerings.

So take a quick look at your Website. Do you have new content, or some appearance that you’re a happening company. New, relevant content in some fashion.

Certainly, look at the very bottom of your site. If you find the date is not 2025, or you don’t have this kind of information at the bottom, let us help you get it there.
