Are You Testing Your Website Forms End To End?

This is a real simple eMail, with a simple request.

Please have someone immediately test the contact us, or any other forms you have on your Kansas City Web Design, and make sure you actually get those form submissions.

The form itself my say successfully sent. And the person who filled out the form may get an eMail saying they’ve successfully submitted the form.

BUT, that doesn’t mean that you the Overland Park business owner received the form submission!

The above message on the form does not mean it was “successfully received”. It says successfully “sent”.

Have someone test your forms today, and make sure you are actually getting the form submissions.

Note – If you don’t regularly test your Website forms, no one is monitoring and making sure they are working. There’s no “alert” signal given to your IT or Web design company, saying “Hey, the form submissions on this Website are no longer being received by the intended recipients.”

The only way to know if a form submission is getting to where it’s supposed to be going is to regularly test it.

The only person who will know if it’s working or not, is the person who actually receives the form submissions.

This issue is driven by SPAM efforts put in place by AOL, Google Fiber, Microsoft Office 365, Comcast, Spectrum, etc. The companies that deliver your eMail are the ones that routinely put things in place that break the receipt of Web site form submissions. AND, it’s individualized. What impacts one company’s receipts, may not impact another company’s eMail receipts.

Have the person who receives the forms submissions, put something on their calendar to routinely test the form submission process.

Those major eMail delivery companies are putting in place new SPAM protections all the time.
