Valuable Kansas City Web development skills for WordPress

So far, WordPress has been reported to be 25% of all websites. It seems everyone wants a Kansas City WordPress site. Being able to manage your own content with a CMS, a content management system, is the new trend. It gives business owners their own virtual shop that they can modify on their own without having to ask a “web master” or send in a support ticket. As WordPress development goes, a Kansas City WordPress developer was able to get by with the basic PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. But now, that’s all that is… basic. As WordPress continues to evolve, learning new development skills are so important.

Getting to know your WordPress code library – specifically typing the keys needed when you are coding, instead of the copy/paste that we are all guilty of. When I see a Kansas City web developer who can write code without using the mouse, I’d say the web development skills have been finely tuned, and that the code library has been learned to a great extent. Think of the Spelling Bee, where the contestants faces are plunged into their dictionary’s 8 letter words. You should plunge into the code library and memorize the key basic WordPress terms used, able to type them like you would when typing user / password combinations.

On a side note: Ruby and Python, two languages that seem to be easy to learn for newbies, are roads to ever more complicated websites. These two languages can be built for desktop and mobile devices. It’s not that they are a language that WordPress was built on, as PHP has taken over, but knowing Ruby or Python, or simply knowing “…OF…” them, can really spice up creativity when creating new code.
